FedEx Philippines partnered with Rise Against Hunger Philippines in Cebu, bringing together 60 employee volunteers to package 10,000 fortified meals for underserved children. The meals provided nutritional support to around 166 public school students in Cordova, Cebu, for at least 120 days, which is a follow up to an earlier collaboration which provided meals to Aeta communities in Pampanga. The initiative comes at a critical time, with the latest data from the DOST-Food and Nutrition Research Institute showing that stunting among Filipino children under five rose to 25.3% in 2025—the first increase recorded since 2015. Beyond the numbers, the story highlights how corporate volunteerism and community partnerships can contribute to addressing food insecurity and supporting children’s health, education and development.
